$2.5 million in grants made available to Brighton Urban Renewal Authority paid for the basic renovation costs, including soundproofing the Armory building.

The heART of Brighton was instrumental in raising money from the Brighton community to pay for some of the costs of lighting, sound, seating and other amenities for visitors and performers and a first-class performing arts facility has been created.  BUT upkeep, programming and newer or better equipment is always a need.  In fact, in September of 2011 a new digital sign was placed on Bridge street allowing passersby to see what will be happening at both the Armory and the Anythink Library.  Part of the sign was paid from donations from community members.

We want you to help us create an inviting, comfortable cultural arts center in downtown Brighton and offer several ways to make even your smallest contribution count.

 Among the ways:

Pave the Way to the Heart-Bricks have been laid in front of the doors.  Cost for an 8x8 brick is $250.00 and for a 4x8 brick-$125.00

Tote bags with the heART of Brighton logo are $3.00

Watch this site for programming of events, such as Hazel Miller, and new ideas for contributions.
